The table we grew up around

We grew up under the sound of tiles. Friday nights, our grandmother would set out the case at five o'clock sharp — the same case every week, until the felt on the lid started to pill. Our mother kept playing when grandmother couldn't, and we kept playing when our mother got tired. The table held everything: weddings, new babies, slow arguments, and the smallest gossip. We started ORO because that table deserved better objects around it.

Made slowly, by hand, in small batches

We design every piece to be made — not produced. Each piece is crafted from layered acrylic, then etched and hand-painted in our studio, then polished and packed by the same two hands that made them. We work in small batches — sometimes fifty in a design, sometimes ten. When a batch is gone, we rest. When we rest, we draw.

A short note from the founder

Hi — I'm the founder. I started ORO because I wanted to keep a piece of my grandmother's table alive in our home, even when grandmother couldn't sit at it anymore. Every piece we make is one I'd be proud to put my own daughter's hand on.
