Blue & White Mahjong — 160 Tiles, Four-Layer Acrylic

A full American mahjong run drawn as blue-and-white porcelain.

Dots become plates and bowls with floral medallions. Bams become blue bamboo, with a crane standing on the one-bam. Craks become lidded ginger jars carrying the numerals 1 to 9 in gold. The winds are butterflies labelled EAST, SOUTH, WEST and NORTH; the dragons and jokers are dragons and a koi; the flowers are vases of blossom.

Four layers of acrylic are laminated into every tile — white, pale blue, white, deep blue — so a set of clean stripes runs along each edge. The faces are laser-engraved, smooth to the touch and easy to wipe clean.

Light enough to carry to a friend's table, and packed in a compact 25 × 15 × 10 cm box with dice.
